I just pulled the trigger on:

They are going on a stock 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo.

255/70R17 is only a little under an inch wider and bigger than the stock 245/70R17 tire size so there shouldn't be any fitment issues. Pro Comp 98 Steelies have a -6mm offset, so combined with the spacers, this set should stick past the fender a little over ~ 1.5 inches. Will post pictures as soon as they are mounted.

I reckon it's going to look rather Mexican with those spacers installed. It'll be effectively 3" backspacing...silly.

Am I doing something wrong? With the stock 17x8 +56 offset, I am getting a 6.7 backspace. I am looking at buying 17x9 steel with 4.25 backspace. I am trying to figure out the offset number, if I did the calculations right, I got a -19 mm offset which will stick out just over 3 inches. With the 17x9 4.25 backspace I am looking at putting on 265/65x17 tires which is about 3/4 in wider than the stock 245/70x17. I would like to get 1 in taller and 1 in wider tires with no lift if possible with no rubbing.

The calculator at http://www.rimsntires.com/specspro.jsp is a good way to compare wheel and tire sizes.

A 17x9 wheel with 4.7 inch backspace would have a -9mm offset, which would stick out about 64mm farther than the OEM, about 2.6 inches.

You may want to check the fitment and tire discussion stickies for something similar.

What is the stock 17 inch wheel load max cap? I know the stock goodyear says 2205 lbs. I am looking at the buying 17x9 steel and the max load on them says 2000 lbs. The tires I am looking at buying are p255/70r17 either the hankook dynapro atm (load max says 2337 lbs) or the general grabber (load max 2469 lbs).
Quadratec has steel wheel that fit my 2011 Grand Cherokee. http://www.quadratec.com/products/92600_0039_P5_07.htm
Would I have problems getting these wheel with the tire option I am looking at buying?
Thanks in advance

Hey guys, sorry if this has been asked before i'm new to the forum. Does anyone know the weight of the stock 17" Aluminum wheels for the 2013 Laredo? I've seen elsewhere that the 17s on the Wrangler are about 27 lbs. Are they the same weight...is that even accurate?

Thanks

My understanding is that these will fit WK (2005) brake calipers but will need caliper grinding to fit WK2's.. Anybody care to confirm?

Hmmm..just tried these on my 2015 JGC and they cleared the front caliper (at least on Dr side I tried) by a hair. May be part of the "caliper hits rim on tight curve" group. Wouldn't take much heat induced metal expansion to get these REAL close and kissing...
