We use the 2 keys for our 2014 grand cherokee, one has been misplaced, or thrown away or??? How much is this gonna cost me at the dealership? Haven't called yet because they are closed.

Ranges around $200, depending on dealer. The FOB is about $160 list, $110 at discount plus programing fee which varies from $20 to $80.

I just bought a third for a spare for my '14 from my dealer, cost $214.54 including fob, emergency key, programming and tax. It didn't hurt too much because I used my $150 Mopar apology coupon. You can find the fob and emergency key on line at a good discount, but check with your dealer first, some will not program a fob not purchased from them.

Just called the dealer, $225 total. $189 for the key and $35 for the program. 2014 keys are different than previous years. I have the $150 coupon but was hoping to use it for some sweatshirts...

Remote start fobs are one thing, but you won't be moving anywhere without a transmitter.

quick question, theres a plug that goes nowhere just behind the front grill drivers side next to the horn. Could that be part for the electric start?

I called the dealer and they said around $525 for the electric start, that includes install and 2 new fobs. I read the install directions for it and I may have the plug near the hood latch already installed.

I think the wording is throwing you off.Its a remote start, not electric start. That may be a block heater plug, even though i know they are supposed to be on the passenger side in front of the firewall.Ive never seen a remote start go into a plug.

Yeah, you need to replace the hood latch, the remote start kit comes with a new one with a sensor that gets plugged in, also an antenna needs to be installed in the rear hatch area along with another replacement part that gets plugged in. I was also previously told I would need a trailer wiring harness, but the wiring was already there, just needed the actual plug end. So you never know.
