My service was expiring this month. Customer service called and offered $139 for the year and I told them I had always renewed for $77 a year. The rep said she needed to check with her supervisor and within a few minutes, I had the deal. This does not include traffic or weather; I use my phone for that. It isn't a great deal, but it works for me. YMMV.

Thx. I don't plan to take it. I know they can do better than that. I thought to let others know since they asked to keep them updated on when I receive an offer. My subscription doesn't expire until August. I guess Sirius is being proactive.

Give the operator a sob story about how you really cannot afford the full price, and tell them you are going to cancel after your current subscription. Gee, my wife had her hours at work cut and our take-home has gone down big-time, etc. Then tell them a friend got the "$80 deal" just a week or so ago. I do this every year, with both vehicles. It is a PITA, but it works every time. I do get the travel link for the extra $1.99/month, so my final cost on each vehicle is about $100/year. My opinion is that this service is worth about $8/month and above that I would really cancel, and they know it.

Last year for my wifes car, I was so sick of it, I got them to agree to a 3-year deal for $144 plus tax. When she got her car 5 years ago they still had a lifetime/transferrable deal for $360 and I am still kicking myself for not getting it. I don't think they do the lifetime deals anymore, and they would not do a multi-year on my GC. They did agree to give me the same price at renewal time later this year, so I will see if they honor that. XM/Sirus is a very strange company and they have a poor business model and not the best customer service.

My subscription expired last may and a couple a days ago I received an offer, "buy 6 months, get 6 months free." So I'm happy about that and will most likely take them up on it. ~$8 a month isn't too bad.

I just did my usual annual renewal, was 96$ all in, second radio was same. This is the FIFTH year I've called to "cancel" and then been offered the lower priced option. I was offered 30$ for 5 months, but said it's easier to just do the one year.

I got the offer for one year at $86 but when I saw some people were getting 6 mos for $25 I called and asked for that deal. Sirius said yes and I was off the phone and had my service back in less than 10 minutes. So at the end of the year I'll call and do the same thing again.

Sirius called me and I took their two year offer for $180 (including taxes.) They offered a one year subscription for around $85, but I didn't want to go through the hassle on a year.

I like your idea of getting two years instead of one. They called me twice and both times they were really pushing hard for three months for $7. I said that I want one year deal for $75. They said after three months then I will get a year for $75 but for now I will to sign for three months first. I said no to three months and they said that they will call me back. So it continuous....

Are you guys talking everything included at these prices. I was looking at my buddies brochure the other day & see they have different packages available, like satellite TV. I recall one being $14.99, another $17.99 month.

Called to cancel my 6 month plan and they offered $96 for 1 year. I offered $80 and they said no. Told them to cancel and they gave me 2 months for free. The game continues...........
