I am in the market for a 2014 GC, most likely I will be going with the Overland since I have to have those new lights I have my financing secured and just need to find the car now. Since this model is just out this month, its hard finding comparable figures. I wanted to start this thread to help future owners out in obtaining the best price and locating a dealer that is wiling to deal. please post up what you are quoted so we can find the best dealers from around the country. I should be able to post my first quotes up this afternoon.
thanks all for your help, together we can save future owners a few bucks on their next new Jeep.
because this is being used in high mountains where we regularly get -20 to -40F, they spec all their jeeps with the block heater. For $80 WTF, other than the CD player, no other options. Its all I really wanted. What else really? If I need skid plates I would want aftermarket ones anyway and I ride my 9'r right off my back porch into 40 miles of single track so I dont even need a rack....

Hi Everyone. New to the forum cause we are looking at getting my wife a Jeep Grand Cherokee and I am sure I will be on here 24/7 reading about everything!
We are looking at getting a 2014 JGC Altitude w/ MSRP of $39,475. Has backup sensors & cam which is why we were looking to upgrade to a limited but she loves the Altitude look and this is the only one I found online within 100 miles of us.
I get the Chrysler Affiliate Reward Discount through my employer and wanted to know what I should expect to save off of MSRP with it. I have seen everything from 1-7% below invoice. How do I know what their invoice is? Will they show my the example invoice that the Chrysler Affiliate Website shows?
Just looking to get the most off the MSRP and don't want to be unrealistic. I will be going to dealers around Lake Erie (NorthEast OH, NorthWest PA, Western NY). Thanks in advance!!!

You should have been given website to go to and/or a phone # to register and obtain your Code. All the details are there and you can call them to discuss. there are at least 2 different Affiliate programs. I think the most common is the 1% below invoice. The dealer should provide you the wholesale/dealer cost invoice upon request. Go to WK2 jeeps dot com for actual dealer invoice costs and you can do your own math from there. Its not complicated and the dealer can give you a written breakdown of the costs and savings. then post it up here! Happy hunting
I considered the same before buying the Jeep. I told myself if I got it in black, it might not look as bug eyed weird as it does. But I could just not picture myself every morning getting in the bug eyed Darth Vader mobile. I have not regretted my decision for one second. My Jeep so far has been outstanding.
No worries folks, I have a hold on the Overland till I can go see it on Friday.
I asked them to send me the #'s so I can review. She is telling me the dealer offered pricing discounts wouldn't apply to the affiliate pricing. Essentially saying you can only have the pricing one way, not with the 1% off plus any negotiated reductions. (reduction of 4,681 from 47,680, net 42,999) I need to call Affiliate hotline to confirm once I get everything in writing to see how and what the price to me should be. I thought it would still be the negociated (in this case, advertised) price of $42,999 plus the 1% amount, $443 totaling 42,556.
In the discussion with my dealer he was willing to add it. Candidly i'm not wanting to beat every cent out of them, so I'm going to propose they give me a "very good" deal and then let them use affiliates to recoup a few dollars. As long as my final deal comes in somewhere between 4-5% under I'll be pretty happy.
Sounds like you are a little closer to buying than I am...good luck!
Great point that bonus cash is usually just like cash, applied at end after all other discounts....tho this might be regional. For my zip there is $1,000 and it's called "Great Lakes BC Retail Consumer Cash".
My deal is very strong so I am not going to walk on the deal if I don't get my 1% BUT I am not going to let them use the code for their own profit. this is the deal they are offering anyone so I don't see the need to give them 2% ( My understanding is they actually do get 2% and give the consumer 1%) unless they are sharing in that.
Again, this is why I am asking for the breakdown
Tivoboy- great post and yes, my area is giving $500.00

Some deals are just too good...... I have been around for a few years..
So I did find out a little more which could be BS or true. I am hoping its true.
So, here's their story....
A couple of weeks back there was a hail storm and a few of vehicles on the lot sustained minor damage. The insurance company issued a claim settlement for any autos on the lot at the time. Although this and other vehicles did not sustain any damage, they are blowing these few (I think there's about 5 GC's) out. So. I have been told there is no damage. I have the auto on hold and they put in writing a full rebate of the hold amount if I don't want the GC. they have been very helpful and no signs of "shady"
Here's what I am doing:
Running the VIN through Carfax (yes, they are kinda useless but it could show a claim) EDIT: there are no records found on CARFAX... so that's a good thing
Running the VIN through my Insurance company EDIT: I called, they are actually going to inspect the vehicle for me; a benefit of having a local insurance agent!
Asking for full written disclosure if any repairs were done to the vehicle whether reported or not.
If anyone has any suggestions please feel free to post up.
This Koons/DC deal, is it for Wk2's only or will they do it for Wrangler's as well? i'm considering a JKU in the not too distant future and this may be a good option to get a good deal. Also, is the deal for cars in stock only, or also work with orders?
Purchased my new 2014 white/blue-brown interior overland v6 with technology pkg from koons jeep mid June for $41700 + tax/tags/etc. I didn't know about this group buy at the time bc I joined after the fact but I felt like I got a really sweet deal. They initially wanted $44,300 but I told them to sharpen their pencil and to get back to me, so I walked. After a week over the phone negotiating I purchased it. Then before I signed I made them fill the gas tank and throw in slush mats front/rear/cargo. Great overall experience seeing sticker was $49,190. Hope this helps and good luck!
I haven't run the math precisely but that's an amazing price. As good as any of the group buy numbers I've seen. If I don't go diesel that's probably the exact combo (color and all) that I'll be shooting for so you've given me a new benchmark.
Wow, that was a awesome price...with TTL it is still slightly less than what I paid for mine OTD with a trade in that had equity....and I didn't have the tech package.
Everyone here appears to be getting really great deals. I am having some trouble figuring out why i can't find any good deals like this in San Diego, CA.
Are there any group buy deals near SoCal ??
When I initially sat down to work the numbers with the sales manager I asked for a detailed breakdown on how we got to those numbers. At no point did he mention the destination fee and that was clearly documented. When I showed up a week later he tried to throw that at me and I was like "heck no, wtf"? I had a copy of breakdown he have me. Basically his boss stepped in and I was eat it or I will beat it. I found the GC on cars.com. It was listed 44,300. Think there was almost $6k in rebates. Yes the $1k was factored in the $6k. I ended up financing with them bc they beat my BOA interest rate approval by .25%. No lease. No trade. Koons is a monster dealership and bc they deal in volume/incentives/etc I think I got lucky lol

The lease conquest cash is for lease or purchase with compet lease in effect so I used that on my purchase but those kind of rebates were not around here when I bought....go enjoy the ride

I am a Sales Manager Software and I treat buying a car like my customers treated me and my reps. I make them earn it and I do my research. In the end I paid a great price cash for my MY 2014 Jeep Limited with stuff I wanted. I enjoy buying cars and motorcycles.
Seems like a number of dealers, especially east coast dealers are already showing 2015's, in the limited, overland groups and their SEEM to be pushing through the same 4-5$ discounts that are currently in the market. Makes me think that since auto sales are slowing down - that they might just keep these things in place for a while at least to keep inventory moving off the lots.
2014's must be REALLY cheap at some of these locations.
Hey guys hopeful jeep owner here. The wife is looking for a new ride so we've come to the conclusion this fits are needs the best. I'm wondering if you could tell me if the following deal is good or should I keep walking.
2014 Grand Cherokee Limited 4x2
Ecodiesel
Sunroof
Amplified speakers
20's
Tow package
Msrp is $46,265
I can get it otd for $42,978
I don't need the sunroof, amplified speakers, or 20s but I can't find the color combo that the wife would like with just the ecodiesel and tow package.
