Jacko15, I have the contract in-hand as I type this and I see no exclusion for the air suspension. There are long lists of examples of covered parts, but they also say "not limited to" in that respect, too. Suspension has it's own "example" list...one of the longer ones...and one could infer from that list that the QL versions of said parts would be covered, even though they are not specifically cited. There is a phone number you can call to get more information in this paperwork... 800-521-9922 8a-5p M-F

Thanks jim, appreciate the info. Guess I'll have to give them a call before I purchase.

There's no harm in calling them to insure you feel comfortable. I took a number of months before making my decision just before my Summit hit 12K miles. In the end, I determined that with all the technology and other stuff in my Jeep, combined with changes to my business travel that's resulting in more miles and my intention to keep the vehicle in service for a likely 6-7 years, the (discounted) price for the "includes almost everything" for life extended contract made sense for me this time around. (I also don't usually buy these things) I would have opted for the more defined contract lengths if it were not for the kicked up highway mileage coming into play.

I just purchased the maxcare lifetime a couple days ago. I never purchase extended warranties but decided to for the jeep. I have a limited so no quadra lift but with all the gadgets and amount of money I spent fixing my wj I decided it might be good insurance. I shopped several online companies and dealers and the best price I got was $2285 for $100 deductible. Mine has almost 48,000 miles so it was more than if it was purchased before 12k.

I'm getting the same quote ($2285) on a 4x4 with 14000 miles. Waiting for quotes on other vendors.

That's the cheapest for a Chrysler service contract. Believe me I looked everywhere. You might get cheaper for a 3rd party contract but every time you take the jeep in they have to get it authorized and its a pain. With Chrysler they will handle it internally. The only time you might have better luck with a 3rd party contract is if you don't want the dealer servicing your car. I personally prefer the dealer to do the work, especially if its free under the warranty.

I believe it was built in. I think there is a $150 surcharge for 4x4 and another $150 if vehicle is over 12 months or 12,000 miles. Mine was both so I think the $$2285 included all that already.

I am still on the fence about warranty, If I had the max care on my 01 i would not have bought the 13 That I just did. The 01 has had a multitude of problems and only a few were under initial warranty. It would have paid off ten fold on that rig.

One thing I was told that I have not seen seen on the forum is that if you buy a max care warranty and sell the vehicle they give you a refund , they prorate based on mileage or years. I think like 2055 was the price I was quoted for max care.

dtrky', the MaxCare service contract (it's not a "warranty") is transferable one time except for the lifetime version which is not transferable. I don't recall seeing anything about a refund.

My MaxCare lifetime service contract says <pg 7 of 10>:

"CANCELLATION AND TRANSFER POLICIES: During the term of the service contract, you have the option to:
* cancel the remaining plan coverage and receive a full or pro-rata refund."

The rest of the wording for the refund discusses how long you have had the contract, if you have had a claim, etc ...

Anyone use this site to buy there warranty? http://www.chryslerfactoryplans.com The cost is a lot less than from the Chrysler site, and I want to make sure its legit and that it is in fact the same coverage and would be honored at any Jeep Dealership?

I have my Lifetime MaxCare contract in-hand and as you point out, it does indicate on page 7 of 10 that there is a cancellation policy (with a fee and based on 7 years/100K miles with only $25 refunded after that) --I missed that on a previous read. Thanks for the heads-up.
