Will this be a free fix from the dealers? Mine is out of bumper to bumper warranty but still under powertrain. I have almost 47,000 on it. I would hate to pay for something that should have been right from the start. I have complained about it before, so I will just put pressure on the dealer if they don't want to fix it for free. But curious if you know what they will say. Thanks!
I have just become used to slapping it over to 5th as soon as I get in the vehicle. I still notice a lug on occasion but it is different from the Fishbite. This vehicle would be absolutely fantastic if it could figure out what gear to be in. Better yet, it the ratios were spaced differently. I also run at least 91 octane all the time. Running anything less (for me) just makes it run like crap.
Does anyone have any further info on the possible flash update for the fishbite / shudder issue? I've seen February posted several times on here and on another forum.

Tuner with some transmission tuning fixes it. Expensive fix but Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep have never admitted to this issue and its not the new jeeps with the problem. 2009+ Hemis w/ the 545 trans have always had the issue. I highly doubt if CDJ hasnt done a thing since then, that they would do something now. Theres been no known problems due to the shudder other than a severe annoyance.
I met with the service manager from Conway Jeep today and had a much better experience. The service manager acknowledged my issue during our test drive. We also drove a 2013 and it has the same issue. Upon return to the dealership he checked the computer and there an update to the software release. Per Star case S1118000038 the software is scheduled for a
7/13 release. Hope this helps you. I think I will continue on the lemon law path.
There is no lemon law about it. You will probably NEVER get the issue fixed from Chrysler. Ive yet to hear of ANYONE getting it fixed and Ive yet to hear of someone having transmission failure because of it. Maybe they will update the software to fix the issue, but I dont ever see it coming. It hasnt come in the last 4 years atleast.
