Notes on the RRO Front Skid: Took of the lower fascia, and didn't like the look. With the lift, you can see several engine components, and decided I didn't want to go that route after all. So no front skid installed. Plus, with the combo bar, I don't think it would have fit anyway. In my pic of it on the floor, there is a bar the is welded to it which looks like it may hit the combo bar.

From my thoughts, I may bring the skid to a local machine shop and have them cut that bar off, plus see about adding a metal shut to it of the same metal gauge which will extend the plate more, covering the exposed overflow bottle and frame.

If you really stare at Rocky Roads pic of it, you'll see what I mean. They recommend in the directions to use black spray paint to blacken these parts, but I think they'd still show. http://www.rocky-road.com/media/wk2-...te-picture.jpg

Maybe a RRO Prerunner style skid for sale!?!

Anyway, I bought a hitch from the dealer today, and may install it once the weather gets better here. Tomorrow, $1200 worth of Rigid Lights gets installed on my Combo Bar. Then I'm done with the visuals... for now.

Will post pics when done.

Nice looking Altitude. How much did the hitch run you?

$241 from the dealer. It's be another $100 for the wiring, but opted out. Wanted the hitch to mount a receiver shackle on for rear recovery.

Yes, I do off-road a lot. I love mud!

Thanks, that's not bad for the hitch! What's the rating on it and do you have the Hemi?

Here is my mud and off road pig.

Looks like fun. Haven't had the opportunity to do something that deep... yet. Week long rain though makes for a good weekend.

Not a hemi. 3.6l. And don't know the rating. Sorry. Will look to see if its stamped on it tommorow.

Thanks, and again, i really like your build. I have the exact same, just with the Hemi. I'd love to do what you're doing.

Thanks. If you're in the market for a forerunner front skid... may have been one.

Ha ha. No problem. Actually don't think I'll sell it anyway. Like to modify it for my tastes. Think I can make it better.

TD you beat me to the punch. I am going to lift my white altitude and prob throw that same bumper eye candy on. I am gonna try it out with spacers, and my stock rims tho. 33's with a little trimming if need be.

Let us know how it goes. My setup is 32's. 33 should fit, but will most likely rub under extreme turns. Anticipating your results 'cause when it comes to tires, bigger is better.

Your Jeep has QT1, correct? Do you think that 4wd sytem will hold up to what you have planned?

Has so far. And, if not... that's what my winch is for. Can't wait to use it.

Going a little more extreme this Saturday. Will share the details of how well the QT1 does.
