Sorry. Don't get any snow or ice down here in Georgia. Very rare occasions only. Had my fill of snow/ice growing up in Rhode Island.

But they work great in mud. Though, next time, I think I'm going for BGF Mud-Terrian if they make the size I want. I want a second set depending on what I want to do that weekend... http://www.redneckresorts.com/

Can only be envious if they are actually installed. Seems like I've had this equipment sitting around forever.

Tomorrow, rain, shine... ...or snow. It's getting done!

Um, no... I ordered them on 2/28! Almost a month from order-to-door. Got them now, so who cares...

What to order next...?!? Hmmm... Oh yeah, my lights. http://www.rigidindustries.com/Searc...ts.asp?Cat=136

I'm thinking a 20" light bar, and a few D2 HD's. Want them all to fit in the Combo Bar on the Winch Mount. I have a shop that stocks them, and they said they will take them out to see what fits/looks good. This things are crazy bright .

Ya I misread the post. That's why I edited what I said. Anyway rigid lights are awesome but when I do it I want to stay more traditional and just get some KCs or something similar but when I do a roof rack I will probably do LED lights

Sent from my underground lair.

Finally... winch is on. I didn't do it, so no pics of the install, though, I do have some advise...

Get the SmittyBuild winch RRO recommends. Here is what happened. The shop installed everything within 3.5 hours. Great! I get a call that they are going to finish by installing the grill, and move to the sliders after lunch.

An hour later, I get a call that the grill won't go back on. The winch sticks out 2" too far. They said they would work it our, and I told them if they can't, I'll send the Warn winch back and get a smitty.

They worked it out by removing the entire winch mount, and re-doing everything about how it mounts, how the winch mounts, etc. After 8.5 hours, it's was done. They only charged me for the 4 hours. Very sweet.

But, the front skid is now back on my office floor, along with the slider rails. They will do those next Wednesday. They are concerned that the front skid is going to have to be modded too because of the winch mount being modified. I know they will get it done. It's being installed by their race car fabricator!

Ordered $1200 worth of Rigid lights today. Should be in tomorrow. Hope to have everything done by the end of next week. Then will Light It Up!!!

Here's the pics...

How is the solenoid accessed? It looks very nice. I don't want a smittybilt so that is something I will have to mull over I guess.

It's not accessible at all. Would have to remove the grill. I have no ability to freewheel it, so getting the line out is going to be slow. A real PITA.

But, hey... I have a Warn, the black matches better than the smitty colors, and the actual work is done via the remote cable, which they install and have it snugged in the engine compartment. There's a nice, built-in holder for it. See pic above. Sure Jeep didn't intend it, but hey...

I'll put a velco wrap on it just in case.

Interesting. What if there were to be a hole in the horizontal part of the grill that is under the hood when it is closed? Just large enough to fit a hand to manipulate the lever and access the solenoid. Is that a possibility?
