TIPM - Anyone have theirs replaced under extended service contract?

I want to ensure that the TIPM is covered on my '11 Overland. Looking at extended contracts and deciding between MaxCare and AddedCare+.

You may need to ask Mopar about this directly, but for MaxCare, only the listed exclusions apply. Everything else is "supposed" to be included.

For a few hundred $$ more, I got the Max Care. Covers a lot more stuff that the others don't.

I'm getting a price from the dealer now and will probably go with MaxCare. The service manager who I know really well told me it is covered by MaxCare but wasn't sure about the others. When you drill into each category, the MaxCare covers so much more, I think it's worth the cost.

Going with a 3 or 4 year unlimited warranty. The sales guy I've worked with for years is now a finance manager and he will give the lowest possible price that he can. When I bought my 14 Rubicon, he offered all extras at his cost.

Pretty sure my TIPM is going bad. Over the last 6 months the alarm has gone off 3 times on its own and my wife has had it not start on occasion. It took 4 attempts Sunday morning for it to start.

I did find a company that rebuilds the TIPM for $269 on eBay, but you have to send them yours, they rebuild it, and return it.

Wanted to update this thread.

I bought a MaxCare, 3yr, unlimited mile warranty for $1700. The TIPM was replaced 2 days later using the plan which included a rental car.

They also did a transmission flash. My wife had complained about some stumbling when she drove it but I never noticed. She called me 5 minutes after she left for work the next day extremely happy because said it drove like new again without the stumbling. I took her word for it.

No issues since.
