Thumbs up or down on the looks of the 2014 Grand Cherokee

I think I like the 2011-2013 look better. Don't care for the the front grill or the new dash on the 2014.

The front grill is inexcusable. It's like someone said "what's the quickest/easiest way to make it look like we did something". Also don't like where at the bottom of the front bumper it looks like a big whole/mouth on Limited models or higher where they use chrome surrounding.

Like you i don't care for the dash either but overall it's not a bad looking Jeep.

I don't like the smiley face on the new ones!

I think the 2014 looks really sharp. The 2014 changes make the Summit compare well with the looks of its major upper end competitors such as Range Rover, Mercedes, etc.

I agree. If it wasn't for the new look, exterior and interior, I would not consider the GC as my next car.

I had a 2012 Overland and it was fine. However when I saw the changes they made to the 2014, I knew I had to get one. I felt there was to much chrome on the 2012 Overland I had, and yes more than whats on my current 2014 Summit.

Not sure I'm a fan of the front end yet. Love the interior it's and pieces...

Waited for the 2014's to be announced w/pictures, etc. Bought a new 2013 JGC off the dealers lot in Jan. 2013, instead. Still glad I did. Love it!

Loved my 2011 Hemi Overland, still do after trading it in on my 2014 V6 Overland which I love more than my 2011. My view is that all the WK2's are great auto's and each new model just gets better than the last. Do not believe you can go wrong with any of them, I just think the 2014 is much better vehicle for me than the 2011 and very happy with the 2014.

To be honest, I believe that the only thing I like on the 14' is the LED DRL in the headlamp and the LED placed in the tail lights. The interior looked kinda like it stepped back a bit. That shifter is hideous. It came cheaply out of the 300. Good news is here in the near future I will be able to place the headlamps and tail lights on my 11' summit which I love.

I like the '14 just as much as the '13, but I will certainly miss the flip glass. Otherwise to me it is a wash between them and don't see it as a significant difference between the two and was very surprised at their mid-model refresh.

The only thing the '14 has that i wish my '12 did is the 8-sp transmission. For a car in 2012 to only have a 5spd seems being behind the times.

To me more doesn't necessarily mean better. The "old" 5 speed transmission was a very solid transmission - albeit being over 14 years old The change was just done for a super minor gain in gas milage.

i think i can probably get 3-4mpg better in the '14 than i would in the '12 so i wouldn't say super minor, though the $ savings in gas would be less than $400/yr so not overly significant. I certainly wouldn't pay thousands more to get into a '14 just so i can save $25/mth on gas.

I also think the # of gears is starting to get a little silly. Next thing you know passenger cars will have more gears than an 18 wheeler.
