Things that make me smile

So I traded out of my JK a few weeks ago and into the a new Grand Cherokee. I have to say one of the less painful car buying experiences I've had in a while where I didn't feel as if I got the royal screw job.

The GC was pretty straightforward with Friends and Family pricing but that still left the trade value on my '08 JKU Rubicon was up in the air. It had been used, but not overly abused in the time I had it. When all was said and done the final money I got on my trade was $24800. Not bad considering I paid $25600 for it two years ago. I racked up 32k miles all while using and slightly abusing it.

Curiosity was getting the best of me today so I checked the dealer site to see if they were selling my old Jeep and for how much. Shock of shocks when I learned they had it listed for $27900.

So it kind of made me smile a bit that my old Rubicon was being sold used for over $2k more than I paid new.

Doesn't surprise me one bit. They don't make much on Wranglers, but the value is very high on them. Yes, at the dealership IT APPRECIATED in price. $800 plus tax for 32000 miles of awesome Better than any other car I know of.
