Anyone know where i can buy a str8 style grill (painted with chrome), and or bumper to replace my factory chrome grill on my 2011 grand cherokee limited?

I have already seen some OEM grills on Ebay. Your best bet would be to buy one and have it painted body color to replicate the SRT8. I saw one downtown Detroit on Sunday and i really like the front fascia. The LED running lights definately make it stand out from the non-SRT versions.

Yeah but then people are all "ooo, a SRT8!" but when they get closer they are all "oh, it is just a Laredo/Limited/Overland"

I really don't like the look of the new STR8 JCG. Too over the top, too much $$$ and too little mpg. If I want a sports car, I will take the price difference between the Laredo X and STR8 and get a 2012 Challenger R/T or Mustang GT. My opinion only...

I would just paint the factory one, but I like the chrome lining (str8 style). If I cant find a place to buy one, I will probably try to recreate it from the factory grill. Any ideas on recreating the chrome lining would be awesome.

Me personal I like it when a car looks stock and the engine is high performance. When you know that your vehicle is able to let the owner of an SRT8 see only your taillights and nothing else. That's what I like.

I don't know. I doubt the srt bumper is needed to swap grills though. SRT grill looks the same size as the Laredo, Limited, and Overland. But again, I don't know.

I'm resurrecting an old thread here...

My wish is to replace the 2012 standard chrome grill on my laredo with the grill that comes from the 2012 srt. From the pictures, it appears that this will work, and also from a few sites where I looked at the srt grill and it said it would work on all 2012 versions of the GC.

Here is a pic of the 2012 srt grill:

And here is a pic of the 2012 standard grill:

To me the srt looks almost like the 2014 lardeo grills which I much prefer (body color paint with chrome insets).

Has anybody done this? Is it possible to just replace the grill or does the entire bumper need to be replaced?

I've tracked down the mopar part #: 1TY96TZZAE

I think I can just buy that grill and paint it my jeep body color (black forest green). Anyone have any comments / suggestions (other than "why do you want to do that" )

I want to make the same change to my 2012 Overland - chrome grill is just too much chrome. Chrome surrounds are much better looking. I just had my hood changed to a 2012 SRT8 hood and the conversion was simple. The dealer told me that the Grill mod would not fit - SRT8 too large and needed the SRT8 bumper, fender flares, etc. in order to work. They had the SRT8 grill and dis-assembled my front end to try it so I guess they know. Next Friday will be seeing them and will find out what I can about modifying the SRT8 grill to fit. I made this same mod on my 2004 GC and had to fab a mounting bracket so I want to see what really needs to be done to make this mod work.
