Steering Wheel Wear

Have a 2012 Grand Cherokee.

Developing a zipper like crease in my steering wheel (non heated). Funny thing is, it isn't located where I normally position my hands.
The leather isn't torn...yet. I am worried that the problem may get worse.

The leather is supple so I don't believe it to be a lack of care issue. It almost looks as if there is some stitching beneath that is causing the imperfection. Maybe two inches in length. Not raised but easily visible.

Thoughts? is this something that could possibly fall under warranty protection?

Thanks

Sounds like a imperfection of the material, not normal.

Anyone else have any similar problems and experience bringing this to a dealer?

You have a Grand Cherokee not Cherokee.

Carry on!

Maybe, depending on your mileage.

I don't know how soon new members are allowed to post pictures. Anyone out there know? I'd like to see a picture, if possible.

I think he can post now. I would try, Heyniger_Al. A picture would be of help.
