Has anyone been to Easter Jeep Safari? If so how was it?

I go every year in my dreamsIt's definitely on my list of things to do. Once I build up my grand Cherokee with a lift, rock rails, and a winch.

Yeah I thought it looked like a great event. There is also Grandslam West which is all Grand Cherokees but from the Vimeo Video I saw when I googled it, looked like there weren't many WK2s at there.

I went. Drove the GC 1100 miles to get there and towed my TJ with it. First time I towed the TJ a long distance with the GC. It did well. I used a weight distribution hitch. The sweet spot for freeway driving was about 72 mph in 6th gear. Got about 12.5 mpg on the trip.


Stayed one week, ran 5 trails including poison spider, steel bender, and cliff hanger. This photo was taken on fins and things. Lots of fun.

The Red Rock 4WD club trail leader drove a GC on the Steel Bender trail. Not sure what year it is but the truck was very capable on the obstacles. This photo was taken at the draggen tail obstacle.

WK2's are much harder to lift and put 33's under. Yes I know there are kits and the pinch weld can be beat on.
