Question Skid plates eat up some of the clearance??

Completed the install of the skid set over the weekend. Before, the plastic fuel line cover has always been visible right under the driver side of the GC, now it seems even more obvious I think, even the fuel tank skids seem much lower. Maybe I'm constantly looking at it, I dunno. That or I'm too short

Have any pictures of the plates?

Here is a picture of a couple of my skid plates when I was having exhaust work done. How do yours compare?

I will take a pic later at lunch break, driving a gas-sipper today. It looks the same, the finish of the plates must still be really black that I can really see it from my vantage point.

Jackal, I just noticed your transfer case plate doesn't have the round disc that sits on top of the unbolted part of the plate. I don't know what the purpose of that disc is, maybe a vibration dampener? #3 in the breakout image.

How could they not eat up the clearance?

Here are a few pics... seems good from the back looking forward, seems to be about same height as the tail pipes. The view from the side is what throws me off.

It looks like it might be wider (which you could argue you lose clearance where it is wider).

I think you got it, the wider fuel tank cover is what's throwing me off. It's much more visible now from the side. Hmmm, maybe when the funds allow it, the rock rails will cover some of it
