Bengals1 what is your car version ? summit?
look at mine, there is a seal, in your photo there is not, and indeed the gap is noticeable.

how does it make a call to 911 ? a phone must be paired or not ? for me it is useless (europe)

mines a 2014 summit, no seal like yours. The 911 message is a glitch that pops up every once in awhile. Is your gas flap flush? Or is it slightly raised, like mine?

gregory30 thanks for the follow up on your headlights...so you just "opened" up the unit a bit to breathe by removing the back rubber cap...hmmm, reasonable, non-destructive approach. I like it except for the residue/condensation rings it leaves for large water droplets evaporating. This is issue is sticking in my craw a bit as I will have this Summit for 10 or so years and I just don't think I should have to accept "smudged eyes" so to speak on a $55k vehicle, ya know?. I'll report back what the dealer says from today's visit.

Bengals1, my '14 Summit fuel door is flush with a rubber gasket. Yours is definitely off.
