Question about TSB 21-007-13 REV. B

Hi all,

I learned from this forum about this TSB and I have a few questions. Sorry if I ask obvious questions but I'm not a Jeep guy...yet

1) TSB says "applies to vehicles built on or before August 12, 2013" but the reading on my driver door says "MFR 8-13". Looks like it only shows the month of Aug but not the date. Safe to proceed anyway?

2) My versions on the UConnect says the Software Version 13.26.0, and HMI Version 13.26.01? Are these UConnect version or something else?

3) Is this TSB "do it yourself" or I have to bring it to the dealer? Approximate time needed?

4) Those who have done this flash: do you see significant improvement transmission-wise and performance-wise? (i understand if mpg is compromised)

Your response is very much appreciated.
Thanks

This flash is a dealer only. To find out if you need it, your dealer should be able to tell by your vin. If you take your Jeep in for service of any kind it should be applied. I haven't had it done yet, but will when I go in for an oil change, along with several other flashes my Jeep needs. Anecdotal evidence is that getting the flash will improve transmission responsiveness.

It does show the date elsewhere on the sticker, don't recall off hand, but someone here discussed it a month or so ago. Sorry not much help.

On the bottom right side of the sticker is an entry labeled MDH for month/day/hour

I checked the windows sticker, and it says "0810" at the right of the VIN. Looks like it was built 08/10/2013 which is 2 days of the cutoff day spelled out on this TSB. I'll bring it in to the dealer and will update the forum about the performance after the fix.
Thank you all.

Update:
I'm the OP and I just have the dealer update the flash to TSB 21-007-13 REV. B, which supposed to enhance upshift/downshift issues but I've NOT seen any difference/improvement after the fix. However, I do notice a drop in mpg. Any body experience the same behavior after flashing?
P.S. It's been 16 miles of driving since the flash update (the vehicle has been restarted about 5 times)

Thanks

@Lee: Thanks for the description of the TSB.

The dealer did the followings. I have no clues what the purposes of other TSB (18-041-13), PCM, and TCM are. If you can shred some lights on these, I'd appreciate it a lot. Thanks
