Quadratrack II noise

I have about 1500 miles in my WK2, the wife driving it mostly. The other day I decided for the first time to shift the Selec-Terrain from auto to snow just to see what happens. I drove it for about 100 yards, didn't notice any binding on turns and put it back in auto.
When I got home I noticed a couple of noises I didn't notice till now.
A light tick noise and also the noise (tik tok) that comes from the transfer case when the selec- terrain shifts to a different mode. Nothing loud or dangerous, but it is there.
Any ideas?
