Purple steering wheel?

Am I going crazy or is the outer metal ring in the center of the steering wheel purple? Usually it reflects whatever color is it front of it, but I'm pretty sure it's purple.

I'd say mine is a satin or brushed chrome finish.

It's not that noticeable in the daytime, or night either, just when it catches light a certain way.

I'm thinking that there is a meaning to the purple color. The anniversary editions have been a tribute to the jeep brand history. Also on this 70th, the seats have a stripe in them that's supposed to look like a military uniform bar pin, as a tribute to all our military service guys and gals.

So 2 things come to mind why purple. First is a tribute to all the female military members. Or second, to pay tribute to the purple heart.

Anyway, I kind of like it. Although orange, green, and purple is sure an interesting interior color palette.

It is reflecting your black interior and light.
I have beige interior, had dark blue shirt on yesterday and mine appeared purple.
Its chrome, its just reflective.

I noticed it a couple of times a while ago that in certain light it does shine purpleish. I looked for it the last time I was home, and I couldn't find anything. I think it is just the light shining on the wheel.
