That makes me smile. And maybe consider a 4 door JK next year...

Yeah, I am with you, one thing I am considering is looking at a new Wrangler with the new V6 next year to replace the WK... We would be 2011 Overland and 2012? Wrangler... I need to go black or silver though...

Agreed. The body style on the WK doesn't even compare to the WK2. Hopefully Fiat can keep it going for a while. A great side by side comparision in the photo above.

No off roading for you recdog with the SRT 8. Have you considered a Mercedes, or BMW? Although, you may get the most for your money with the SRT 8, as previously stated by another poster.

price of the SRT8
So another forum (JG) and one of the well-informed posters there just released preliminary MSRPS on the 2012 WK2s
LAREDO 4X2 $30,830
CHEROKEE LIMITED 4X2 $37,460
CHEROKEE OVERLAND 4X2 $39,190
CHEROKEE LAREDO 4X4 $32,870
CHEROKEE LIMITED 4X4 $40,010
CHEROKEE OVERLAND 4X4 $43,070
CHEROKEE SRT8 $75,000
Yes that does say $75K
Edit: The information I posted earlier got changed by said poster now it's listing a starting price of $4x,000
not sure what the x will be but my guess is around 46-48k

There is no way you can buy a top of the line 4x4 Overland and Base Laredo for the price of just one SRT8. I call BS on that. The markup is not that high on any of the other SRT8s.

Yea I saw this if its true they will not sell any SRT8's, if fiat had a hand in putting the MSRP this high, then they need to pull their head out of their asses and get a clue. I would much get a land rover or a porsche.
And that 7 better change in to a 4

Nonsense.
Production is scheduled to start THIS July. September is the time to expect them on the lots.

The Wrangler is more in my price range then. Loaded Sahara Unlimiteds can easily reach $35k these days from what I've seen. I seen a couple Rubi's at $39k.. lol.

Nothing is writen in stone, but I can tell you that my '08 listed right at $49K and I walked out the door with a $41K price. The fact that gas was at $5 per gallon at the time and the truck had been on the lot for over 6 months helped out.

There's not a chance in hell the truck will be anywhere close to $75K.
Anyone looking for info, keep an eye over here.
