Wk Overland interior lighting....

I couldn’t find any post similar to this…..maybe I didn’t search with the right name.

Anyways…..somewhere I saw / read that there is a button that will change the interior lighting on JGC to different colours. I obviously don’t have this but does someone else have it? I think I might have seen this type of button on Jeep site or one of their manuals. This button was on the center console right beside the gear shift.

This is an optional factory kit. The installation is quite involved. If you do a search on both forums, there are threads explaining how to install the kit. There are also threads on do-it-yourself for a lot less $ installations.

Here is a link to the OEM Ambient Lighting kit:

Chrysler installation guide (note this kit is a multi-vehicle generic design):

Thanks for the links and your reply.

Given the price of this, I will stick to installing the chrome grill next. Interior lighting can be the project after that. One thing at a time

You can do the "do-it-yourself" version for well under $50 for the LED's and wiring. And from the forum instructions, it is actually an easier install than the factory kit. You won't have the multi-color ability or the control knob however.

As much as I would like to do it myself.....I neither have the time nor the skill to do it. I guess skill is the main reason, time is just an excuse.

This best describes when I work on a car

Can you change the color of the lighting on an 2013 overland summit? If so how?
