Order now or wait for a 2012??

I've got a bit of a debacle. I've had my dealer looking around the area for what I thought to be a fairly common build. (Overland, black, saddle interior, adaptive cruise, and no rear media.) They haven't been able to come up with anything and the Jeep website agrees. So, my option is to order up what I want now or wait to see what comes with the 2012. It's getting close to summer, so the new release info will be rolling out soon. What are your thoughts? Thanks for your input!

From my understanding you can only get the saddle interior on the overland summit now. I could be wrong. If you're not desperate for a car, you might just wait till 2012 and see if there is anything differnt for the WK2 or get a better deal on year end pricing for a 2011. I hope they put the ELSD in the front and I'd be all for a 2012.

Overlands seem to be on restriction again (or still), I just ordered a 5.7 with the adaptive cruise and the dealer is thinking maybe 12 weeks. Almost to the point of waiting for a 2012.

You can no longer order an overland with the 430 Garmin (parts shortage I think), you must take and pay extra for the 730N upgrade. You can no longer order a overland with saddle You will have to go to the Summit model of which there are a few Black/Saddles on dealer lots in New England.

Wonder what the price increase for the 2012 will be.

My girlfriend's parents waited nearly 16 weeks for their '11 Overland w/ Saddle interior. The dealership said that it was the interior color that was least chosen by customers and dealerships, and that Jeep was basically building the GC Overlands w/ Saddle Int all at once to keep costs down.

It's a nice color interior, and I'm all for getting what you want to have, but personally, waiting that long, or possibly not getting as good of a deal on a vehicle due to one color is not something that I prefer to do. I would probably wait until the '12's are out, and buy an '11 that they're trying to get get off their lot.

Most dealerships cannot order new model years until they have cleared out some of the previous model year's inventory. Go at the end of the month and buy something that was built in '10 as an '11, and you'll probably get a great deal.

Thanks for the replies. I had seen the 430 vs 730 thing and talked myself into the extra few bucks to have the option to talk to the navigation. Hadn't heard about the saddle color thing. That's too bad as I don't care for the dark wood and the extra saddle on the dashboard of the summits. Plus if I'll be waiting 12-15wks, I might just as well wait for the release of the 2012.
