Noise When Steering Wheel is at Full Lock

All of a sudden last couple days, this noise appeared.

It happens at full lock. Also, when the Jeep is stopped and I start to turn the wheel for a half second, it is delayed and then it is smooth to turn the wheel the rest of the way (this happens when I turn the wheel when the car is stopped, to lets say pull out of a spot or make a uturn).

So it looks like I am going to need a power steering pump.

Taking it in tomorrow.

Updated video of how it sounds currently:

Not going to lie I am kind of getting sick of this Jeep.

Hey Crookster777,

I am sorry to hear about your continued concerns with your Grand Cherokee. What was the diagnosis of the dealership?

Power steering pump is going to be replaced.

Also having a few other things replaced.

Fuel door (misaligned and separating from the backing, got locked on me twice)
new hood scoop because the clip broke off. I guess from the heat cycles.
New windshield nozzle bc the hose keeps falling off.

Don't hold it on the steering stops. It puts undue strain on the pump.

Could easily contaminate the fluid and cause the rack to fail early as well.

08 Limited Hemi - wheels, tires, springs...ya know, stuff
