Chris did tell me its a lot more fun to drive now, and when I get home in October and fly out to pick it up, he said I should be pleasantly surprised by the throttle response.
You are going to be a happy camper. I finally got to meet up with Chris today and we took a little spin in your Jeep. Compared to mine, yours spins up faster and shifts smoother so I'm on board for the exhaust and tuner myself.

As for Banks... What a classy organization. Chris took time out of his day and gave me the grand tour. The fact that they have 4 VM diesels sitting in crates plus a few in project vehicles tells me they are serious about taking care of us Jeep diesel guys.

That's awesome! Thanks Robert. Did you see the CAI on the Jeep, how does it look? Any difference in sound? My guess with the DPF still intact it wont sound any louder. I'm even more excited to get home and drive it now!

I don't believe the CAI is installed on your truck yet as we only talked about the exhaust and the tuner. Talk to Chris about that product as they seem to have a pretty good handle on it and when they do get done with R&D, it's something I'm interested in as well. The big take away I have from talking to Chris and visiting their facility is that they understand the VM motor very well. That is very good news for us.

What's better then one DGC? Two Diesel Grand Cherokees! I borrowed Roberts DGC on Friday to do a test fit on his overland summit. Everything fit great just need to make 2 hanger mods, get his back hopefully next week and we are good to go. I am having my guys work on the BOM for the exhaust kit so I can give you a price by the end of next week. As for the tuner we are sourcing some new connectors and doing some fine tuning (pun intended) and will hopefully be able to start selling it is September. CAI is being worked on, it got behind the f150 developement (sorry guys they sell 1 million of those trucks a year which means a lot of customers) but that is wrapping up so I can have my guys get back on the DGC design. We are getting there slowly and I thank all of you for your patience.

bigbadbru,

Thank you for keeping all of us informed on the progress of these products that Banks is developing. Will there be an exhaust kit that will work for the 2014 Jeep Summit Ecodiesel since it has very different rear fascia and exhaust tips than the Overland and Limited Ecodiesel's? Thanks for any information about this, I am really looking forward to purchasing the exhaust if it will work with the Summit.

I spoke with Chris at BANKS yesterday, the CAI is behinde schedule due to other projects; however, the exhaust is completely done and in mass production, the tuner is done and they also installed water-meth injection on mine. Chris was pretty tight lipped about the performance data on the tuner, my guess BANKS doesnt want it released until they make it official on their web-site or released for sale to the public. I will be picking up my Jeep in about 2 weeks and will be driving it from California to Denver, then to Texas. I will post each night my mileage experience and overall driveing impressions with the mods. Needless to say I'm pretty stoked!

@ Robert Yates,

Sounds good. After 9 months in the Desert Oasis of Kuwait (and other places) a few coldies sounds great

I appreciate the offer, but will be taking I-15 to Colorado to visit a friend. Cant wait to run the diesel through the mountain passes with the water-meth injection. Should be some good real world mileage testing with the drastic elevation changes.
