mufflers or cat backs?

Just took delivery of a 2015 Grand Cherokee Ltd 5.7L V8. I want to give it a better sound. What the most economical way, Dynomax mufflers or Borla Cat Backs or what?
Would like to keep it south of $1000, I'll do the install.

Search for cross pipe or X-pipe, there were a few discussions a month or so ago about this economical way to boost V8 sound without annoying drone or or other side effects. The cross pipe replaces the suitcase muffler.
