LED Footwells

So, I hate to be the guy who does this, but I'm wanting to install LED's in my footwells, but don't want to waste $300 on the stock kit. I know where to get the LED strips for $30, but couldn't find an install guide? The thread below mentions one existing, but I haven't seen it. Mostly, I'm just wondering where you guys tapped into the electrical. I want LED footwells, but don't want to risk Jeep ever coming back and claiming I voided my warranty by tinkering with the electrical system.
