Just picked up an Overland 5.7

Hi all,
As the title says, I just picked up a 2011 Overland with a 5.7, I am new to the forum and look forward to learning what I can about my new Jeep. Do you all have any suggestions for a cat back exhaust system? For a 5.7 I don't like the stock sound, was looking for something with a better sound without a ton of drone at cruising speeds.

Thanks alot......

Search this forum, I saw another company looking for 2011 GC owners to let them use your vehicle to make an exhaust, and in return you get a free exhaust.

Thanks for the replies guys, after doing a Google search I found the Magnaflow, they had a youtube video that sounded great (just what I'm looking for). My concern is the drone at cruising RPM's. Maybe Borla will be better, I guess I will have to see if there are any clubs around Long Island where members have done this switch already and hear it for myself.

Thanks again for the quick replies

David

Last I heard, Magnaflow has less drone then say flowmaster, but I can't say from personal expierence.

The Magnaflow sounds great but $1500! OUCH.....

It does use dual resonators with a cross flow muffler. By design you shouldn't get a "drone" but I'll bet you'll hear it at cruising speeds where the current system is drowned out by road noise.

One of the other forums has a thread running documenting someone's impressions of the system. No excessive drone or resonance. Apparently it will not fit with the factory skid plates - kind of a bummer.

Instead of all new system, just put a new muffler on it. The Hemi already has dual exhaust so just put a new Muffler in it and it should sound Awesome.

Not a bad thought, could knock down the cost a bit, will look into that, thanks........

Corsa makes a real nice looking system for the 2011 Hemi. I also love their exhaust tips as well. There are youtube vids in high quality and it sounds very nice. Corsa has always been known for their high quality exhaust with NO drone. I have had their systems on my Z06 Corvettes so I know from experience.

take a look at a 2 year old WK Limited with the 5.7 Hemi, I paid less for mine when it was 2 years old than I paid for my 98 ZJ Laredo 4.0 when it was new almost 13 years ago! There are some great deals out there on WK Hemis if you look around. I'd buy another in a heart beat!
