The mirror covers and handles can be replaced with Laredo ones but the window trim is chrome on all models. There is a blackout tape made for trim but I don't know how good it looks or how easy it is to apply.

The only problem I see is that it's from Rocky Road. We are told to stay away from them on the ZJ and WJ forums because of horrible customer service.

My lift should arrive on the 14th.
I won't have wheels/tires until the end of April though.
Concerning the body colored handles... these type of insignificant changes (as far as Chrsyler/Jeep is concerned) but significant to owners should be options when ordering. I would have ordered all body color as well. I like a little chrome, but the Limiteds/Overlands are too much.

Ahh with my TJ/JK background, this may be a noob question..
How does the RR lift impact the Selec-Terrain system, if at all?

The lift that this thread is about... the 2.5" Rocky Road Lift for non-QL 2011 Grand Cherokees.

Shouldn't affect it at all. Selec-Terrain is a component and function of the 4x4 transfer case. Now, if you have QL, Selec-Terrain works in series with the QL. When you put Selec-Terrain into ROCK the QL will lift the Jeep to its Off-Road setting. But, if you have QL you aren't buying a suspension lift for your Jeep.

That's exactly what I was hoping to hear. I was too hesitant and not nearly patient enough to order QL in July, so I picked up a Laredo X.
Looks like I just found something to blow that tax return on, though! haha

Its reasonably priced at $399 too. You just missed the "special" that Rocky Road was offering, 10% off if ordered by 31 March. If you order soon you may still be eligible to receive the discount, contact Glenn.

I can't say what is included with the kit as RRO is hesitant to release photos of the kit, understandably so. I know the prototype (pictured in the thread) has wheel spacers but I doubt they are included so I may have to pick some up as well. I am not increasing tire width all that much so it may not be necessary, we will see.
I didn't order the front upper control arms ($339). I just wanted to increase ride height and get a more aggressive look for my Grand - no plans of heavy 4wheelin here, just some trail stuff when out camping.
I had a custom 9" lift on my '98 ZJ w/ 35s. And, while it was really cool looking and capable off-road it was incredibly impracticable on-road.

Anyone else ordered or installed this lift themselves? I am thinking about it, but I don't have the tools or space to install it myself. Would have to con some friends into helping or have it done for me.
I am wondering how difficult people have found it, and if they have noticed a difference in ride.

Excuse my ignorance when asking this question as this is my first Jeep and my first real attempt at modding an SUV. I've pretty much been into cars up until this point.
Does a lift like this void the warranty of the Jeep? I know for a definitive answer I'd need to check with the dealer but I wanted to get some real world experience type answers.

You can bet that if you have any issues when you take the vehicle back to the dealer they will try and blame it on the lift. It's not a stock component so that is a modified vehicle and try and void the warranty.
