Interior Lights activate when engine turns off

Does anyone know how to make it so when I turn the engine off the interior lights turn on. Currently they will only turn on when I open the door. On previous cars that used physical ignition keys the interior lights would normally turn on when the key is removed from the ignition.

I don't think I've ever had a car turn interior lights on when the ignition is turned off or the key removed. Often you could set a headlight delay, however. Besides the headlight delay, there does not seem to be a setting for the WK2.

The only way to get the interior lights to come on, I think, might be to open the door, or manually turn on the light.

I'm pretty sure, but not positive, that my 2001 Honda Civic did it. Of course that was the apex of luxury, not something to be expected on a WK2.
