Humming sound and vibration

Hi Guys
I have noticed a humming sound coming from the front and vibration in the steering at low speeds (happens around 8 mph/13 kph) - as soon as I put more throttle and the speed is increased it goes away. On my last service I showed it to the garage who sent a tester with me, but he said it comes from transfer case and is normal for this model. Has anyone else experienced it?
It is very irritating in stop and go traffic when you are going at a slow pace. Any ideas will be appreciated.

both of those are referrinmg to high speed situations - this thread is referring to LOW speed - around 8-10 MPH.

I am experiencing the same issue.... I didn't notice this until I added the Gibson dual exhaust muffler...... I know it's a Gibson but I didn't count on the musical notes.... I have checked for loose heat shields.... nothing

anyone anything?

so you think the gibson exhaust causes humming in the FRONT and vibration in the steering wheel at LOW speeds?

Hi, I get that sound but only when sitting idled...

My 2012 JGC is only 3 weeks old, September build. Today it has developed a vibration shudder when idled. I can hear and feel it is coming from the engine compartment, heard for a good 2 seconds and comes and goes.. It does not make any different to the RPM, or with A/C on or off. Drive is normal.

Anyone else have this problem? v6 Petrol.

Wk Resolved

Got the car back today after a few days in the shop. Hope the noise is gone, too early to tell. Not sure if it's a placebo effect, but I think it idles more smoother now. Dash is in tact and appear to be visibly well put together. Cup holder led lamp and transmission illum did not work, but I checked it out and the illum wire were looping back to itself rather than to the led lamps itself. I had the compressor, evaporator and the active head rest replaced under warranty, with a brand new dodge journey as a loaner included. So far extremely happy with the service the guys at Maddington Jeep Service center handled my case and the patience they had to put up with. Most importantly what helped the most was also a printed out of this forums..

So far no rattles.. Not that I could tell on the long drive home anyway. It is a well built car and from what I've noticed with past Chrysler cars, everything fitter is precised and tightly fitted, even down to foam behind kickboards etc... So it is well built. Jeep is like that when I took apart the center console tonight to look at the cup holder lighting. However, your service dealer does not equate to the same guy who worked on my car. Good luck.

2013 JGC Laredo low speed hum

Experiencing the same issue at low speeds - for me it's around 20 mph. Very irritating and consistent. Goes away when I accelerate above 25 mph. Ay ideas appreciated.
