I'd take it back to the dealer along with the video so that can't say it does not fail for them and that you don't have a problem. Sometimes the hardest part of getting something fixed is proving that there is a issue. Good luck.

Yep, we had the exact same issue. They ended up replacing the heating pads and they now work perfectly and as described in the manual. Good luck with the fix. It shouldn't be much of an issue.

I had the same issue with my driver's side seat. It started happening six weeks after I bought my Jeep. On the high setting, it would stay on for 10 to 15 minutes, then shut off. The only way to get the seat to come back on (for 10 to 15 minutes) was to turn off the vehicle then turn it back on. Having it on the low setting worked fine.

There was a problem with the left heater control circuit. They said the circuit resistance was out of range. They replaced the driver side heater element in the seat back. Since then, I'm happy to report it is working fine.

Just had the exact situation occur on the way to work Monday. It happened on the coldest day around here so far this winter, ~12F. The passenger side was fine. When I started the vehicle to come home from work it was working fine. Has not happened again. I plan on heading to the dealer and will use your video as a visual aide (so thanks for posting!).

I just took my 2011 WK2 to the stealership for this exact thing. They will replace the heating element (still under warranty) so I hope this works. I will post again in a week or so with results.
