Wk Hard Time Cleaning Snow/Ice

I finally took the '15 JGC Overland to the car wash to spray off some of the grime and I had an issue with the little ledges in front of the front tires.

They appear to be used to mount the rubber air deflectors (curb rubbers) but the mud and snow really packs in there and freezes. The screw heads give the ice something to hold on to.

I was able to wash out the 4 wheel wells pretty good for $2 but those little ledges took another $3 to get clean.

Seems like a poor design.
