Good price on used 2012 Laredo?

I have located a used 2012 Laredo and thought I'd see what the consensus might be on it.

4x2
v6
E Group package
Power Sunroof
20,712 miles

Asking price is $26,488. I am guessing that the final out the door price would be something like $27,788. The NADA "clean retail" for this vehicle comes in at $28,700 so this would appear to be a good deal. Would you agree?

As others in my position have mentioned, my concern is related to some of the problems that have been noted in the 2012 models such as the cylinder head issue and the transmission shudder.

It makes me wonder if I should forgo saving a few thousand and just buy a new Laredo instead in hopes some of these issues would be avoided in the new model.

I would say the price is a bit high, I paid 28k for my Laredo 4x4 new.

you'll need a lot more than just a few thousand to get into a new one, but $26K seems reasonable with the E-group package. Brand new it was probably a low-mid 30K car at MSRP.

It would be cool if you can get together with members of this forum and the other GC forum who are thinking of trading in their 2012-13 GCs for a 2014. You get a good deal and they get a better deal than a trade-in.

That seems high to me!! So no, not a good deal. I'm not sure and too lazy to look up the E group, but in my area I have seen new 13s for less. New base models that is.
