Sorry if this has been asked but could not really find the answer. Does the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4 Limited have Forward/ Front Collision Warning? Does it chime or beep like the rear one? If so how do I enable? If not is there a way to get it? Thank you in advance!

FCW comes with the optional advanced tech package, there is a RADAR that looks like an eye under the front bumper. I don't think there is a retrofit, the RADAR itself is like $1000 and there is a control module and some wiring involved, probably a bunch of other things..

Thank you. I was hoping it would be more passive than active like the package one. To pay do much without even a rudimentary one seems wrong but I still love my GC.

Just to be clear, you can not get the parking assist on any of the models other than the Summit. Even with the Advanced Tech package, you are not getting the front park assist. I am bringing this up because that is what you get the beep from in the rear and you might be getting it confused with the Front Collision Warning. It is park assist, not the Front Collision Warning. Front Collision Warning is part of the Adaptive Cruise Control that you get from the Advanced Tech package.

So to clear this up, the Advanced Tech Package gets you:
Adaptive Cruise Control
Advanced Brake Assist
Blind Spot and Rear Cross Path Detection
Forward Collision Warning with Crash Mitigation.

If you want all the PLUS the front park assist, you need to get a Summit. Not sure if this will change with the 2015 model.

Buy an Export Modell . Limited is the lowest package with front park assistant in Europe.

The RADAR eye is part of the Adaptive cruise control package that is standard (in the US) only on Summits. These also have side firing RADARs in the rear fenders. It can be optioned in both the Limited and Overland. The front parking assist beeper system is only available on Summits in the US.

The parking assist and FCW are two different things.

Yeah, your looking for parking assist sensors, not the so called collision warning sensors. They are in the little circles in the bumper, but I dunno if the OEMs can be retrofit.

40K is cheap for a light truck SUV now days. I don't think front parking sensors were available until 2014. Most drivers don't need them nor want the expense added to the base price. Just something else to break. Eventually they may make it into the lower trim levels.

Exactly; I don't want them nor do many others. Maybe an option going forward if some people are so inclined.

My friend has all that #%^* on her Benz and it's constantly in the shop for every little glitch and failure - no thanks.

Basically, it was not included on the Overland. It was extra (optional.)
It was included with the Summit edition of the Overland (which was extra.)
