Where can I find the build date? Is it somewhere on the window sticker? Thanks.

I think it's the small 4 digit number just above the bar code on the right. Mine reads 0413.

If you still aren't sure, you can PM your VIN to me and I will check the build date for you.

The build date is stamped on the sticker plate on the drivers door jamb (on the actual door).

Wow that's funny. I have a JGC rental and I noticed there was grease around the front driver's wheel. Should I mention something to Enterprise when I return it?

Uh, yes. They would appreciate the heads up. Tell them that's why yours was in. Freaky coincidence. Pretty good tho that you got a JGC for a rental.

wborisenok--

Haha yeah, I did but they said nothing happens or fouls yet. So, nothing i could do but let them swap one axle. Yes, I purchased my jeep there.

Summithemi-- Curious about door jamb sticker... I see it was peeled off and asked dealer about it but they said they got it like that (yeah right!) anyway, wonder if can i get new sticker for door jamb?

ooh, good question, I don't see how you could get one as it's printed on the production line and I am sure it does not have a part number. If it is intact you could use 3M spray adhesive and if done well you would never know.

Whatever the reason, it obviously sucks big time for those affected.
Not good Chrysler.
Since these would get to the assembly plant already put together and greased, I'd bank on the supplier having a bad batch. Especially if the Durango is being affected and shares the part number with the Grand Cherokee.

I got it too

Just bought my Overland 2 weeks ago and sure as heck I have the same problem. Build date of 3/2014. Just dropped it off at the dealership. I hope they fix it. I also called Chrysler and reported it.
