I'd buy the tip straight from Mopar, that way you know it will fit:

I put it on mine the first day. Excellent quality, bolts right on. Looks great.

At $76 (discounted) for a 6" chrome extension it should install itself. Must be a $50 clamp. Do know that flaring the last three inches from 2 1/2 to 3" made sure that no standard aftermarket (e.g. $10-$15) extension would fit.

Think I'll save my money for the CAI that is supposed to be available on tax day.

One of these is a diesel.

I'd check ebay for knockoffs. I've seen them in the $30 range. $70+ for a small clamp-on is robbery.

Agree

But then I kept searching and I also found a Magnaflow catback system on sale for dirt cheap on eBay. At that point paying almost $100 for an exhaust tip seemed silly.

It was quick, easy, bolted right on. My time is too valuable to scour eBay and car parts stores for tips that may or may not fit to save $30. YMMV...
