I am looking at a 2011 or 2012 GC, only the 2011 because the prices seem a bit lower. Anyways, there is a 2011 GC limited with 5.7, navigation, and towing package. Sticker says $42k, I get the Jeep Factory employee discount. The dealer I went to quoted me roughly $38k for the employee discount. Does that seem about right? He showed me a piece of paper and said, "there is no negotiating here, this is the Employee price right here where it says EP." He is also willing to give me $2k in dealer cash, and $1k for owning a competative car (Acadia) for what he is calling "Conquest" discount. It seems like a fairly decent price, but wanted to check with some of you
As a Chrysler employee you get invoice plus depending on what your position is with them a discount below that like -350 -750 -1500. So yes they will show you the paper work showing invoice and u get a discount on that plus any active rebates or incentives.
The EP, like friends and family price, is shown on the invoice. There is no negotiating but the price is typically 1% below invoice (can vary from model to model). Every dealer has the same pricing. Sometimes you can do better shopping, but not very often. Sometimes you can do better shopping the trade between dealers. You are also eligible for all rebates. $38K on a $42K JGC sounds about right to me, but you should be able to go to Edmunds or Kelly BB, enter your vehicles data, and find what the invoice price should be for the vehicle and if the EP is less, then it should be right.
