ECO mode can be disabled on 2015's

I was reading some older posts from other people about the ECO mode. I just picked up my 2015 overland and hit the button today. After I restarted the car later it stayed off. I saw that in the older models you had to disable it every time you start the car. Looks like that is no longer the case. I dont really notice any difference though with it on or off. Still trying to figure out what the sport mode is supposed to do.

Steve

Looks like they released a TSB for the 2015s to allow the setting to be retained between engine cycles:

This is bull that it only will be fixed on a 2015. I just bought a 2014 3 weeks ago. Why wouldn't a fix or an upgrade be applicable across the board if hardware allows? Like with Apple products, any new fix or system upgrade is allowed in ALL models not just the newest ones. Chrysler or any company for that matter should take heed and ALWAYS give fair dillegence to applicable models as we tend to possibly be repeat customers. I for one have bought 5 brand new vehicles from Chrysler. Three weeks old and I can't get a simple flash to allow ME to choose what setting the Eco switch starts as? Rediculous!

Totally agree - its Crap that Chrysler wont allow us to default Eco Mode to off if we choose to do so. 6th and last time I will purchase a Jeep Vehicle. Ive had nothign but transmission issues w/ my 2014 and Jeep has totally dropped the ball fixing it. If they dont care about consumers, we should take our business elsewhere.
