Doors unlock on their own!

I'm not sure what's going on with my 2011 WK2's door locks, and it's very intermittent. I come to a stop, turn off the motor, hop out of the driver side door, and depress the lock button on the armrest. My key fob is in my pocket. I walk one or two steps away from the vehicle, and the parking lights flash, and the doors unlock!

I've had this happen several times in my 2014. I started locking it from the outside, and have never seen the problem.

Of course, the dealership has never heard or seen this. If I locked it with the remote key fob or with the outside door handle pushbutton, it does reopen. It's almost as though it recognizes a key fob is still in the vehicle???

I put the key fob in the front seat and locked the doors from the armrest button, and closed the door. Immediately, the light flashed, the horn beeped 3x, and the doors unlocked. So, that's not it.

I know my fob has been depressed in my pocket. It could just be the fob in the pocket.

Carry your fob in your empty shirt pocket for awhile to see if that clears it up. So far, it has with my 13 occasionally unlocking ...

I've carried it in my cargo shorts side pocket with the same occasional result. I know what you mean about carrying it in your jeans with other things in the pocket. I've actually remote started the Jeep by accident!

You may need a new fob, search around there are other threads about that. Mine used to do the same and even roll the windows down too. Fixed with a new fob, and hopefully yours is still under warranty.

This happens with both of our key fobs, separately. Happened again last night.
