DID Artist Song Title Display?

Hi everyone,

I've searched so I hope this isn't a repost. I just purchased a 2015 Grand Cherokee Limited. I noticed that the Driver Information Display, when on an audio source, does not provide the artist or song title (my wife's 2013 SRX does and it's really a nice feature, esp while in Nav on the main screen). It will only display the XM channel I've chosen. I have not been able to locate how to change that in the owner's manual. I had it in recently to get some things put on it and they gave me a 2016 loaner. I noticed that this vehicle actually does display the artist and song title. What am I missing? Where does it say how to change that? Or did they just make this available starting on the 2016's? Thanks for any help you all can provide!

Kyle

Also, apparently I fat-fingered "Bioler" instead of Boiler. Welcome to the forum...

If no one drops in here soon, there is a recent UConnect upgrade that may add the feature.

Mine has always displayed artist, album and song title. Before and after the recent update. I often get cover art, as well. Don't remember having to do anything to get them to display.

I'm talking the DID, right between the Tach and Fuel/Coolant temp gauges.

I was thinking about this the other day. It seems like such a simple and common sense feature I feel like should've been added in the beginning. I have a 2015 also and don't have my vin number on me right now to check for an update. If there is an uconnect update and it fixes it. I will let you know tomorrow

I updated my Uconnect and it did not fix it. I asked one of the sales guys at the dealership when I picked my car up yesterday and he didn't know (surprise surprise) and said he would contact his Uconnect rep but I doubt I'll ever hear back. It never ceases to amaze me how little sales people know about cars in general. I always end up correcting them on something.

I have to take the vehicle back Monday to get a trailer hitch put on and I'll ask again when I drop it off.

I've seen a report on changes to the 2016 JGC that says "all models get a new three-spoke steering wheel and a redesigned gauge cluster that includes a configurable 7-inch LCD screen."

On my 2016, the audio display itself is not configurable but standard view looks like this, below (which I guess you've seen on the loaner)

Out of curiousity, what is the entry exit symbol in the top right?

It's basically seat and steering wheel positioning. When Entry/Exit feature is enabled and you turn the ignition off, the seats move back and the steering wheel moves up and away to allow ease of exit. Upon entry and start of car, seats and steering wheel move up to memory positions set for the driver.

Here is my 2015. I am using a USB flash drive with legit song titles and album covers and everything.

Thats really cool!! That sounds awesome. I was actually thinking about that the other day. Like why that isn't a feature, but I was just one year to early!
