Some of the GM Trucks used to have this problem

They the developed a new bulb that was more stout

It is the 4114 bulb it essentially a 14v bulb so it lasts longer.

There is also a variant called the 4157 which has an operating voltage between 12.8 and 14v


Give these a shot.

Or the other option maybe LED bulbs

DRL - if it's such a good idea, why hasn't it helped, and why are they still screwing it up?

I take exception to systems that are little more than justifications for drivers to abdicate responsibility - moreso once they become codified into law...

Finally got by the auto store. The bulb is just fine, the plastic melted over the metal contact. Could have just trimmed it without buying a new one, but I want to see if these 4114 are more resilient. I'll keep y'all posted.
