Changes Resulting from UConnect Update?

So I updated the UConnect software this weekend to newest version (13.15.4 I think).

So far, the change I've noticed is that the system no longer accurately reads/loads the music from my SD card. I have a card with 1964 songs on it in 9 folders and playlists. The system worked flawlessly prior to the update. Now, everytime I start the vehicle, the song count in the display is incorrect and some of the playlists will not play. I can fix by ejecting and inserting the SD card a few times.

Anyone else experience this or a similar issue post-update? Any noticeable positive changes?

Nav response "seems" faster to me, but I would prefer to have my media working correctly. Shouldn't have to choose, of course.....

The usual way. Went here: https://rsur.extra.chrysler.com/rsur/Uconnect.do

Typed in last 8 of the VIN and it will tell you if you are eligible for an update. Downloaded the update onto a blank flash drive as instructed and the update itself was easy and fairly quick.

When you install just plug it in and it does everything itself?

Yeah, I haven't been able to get on all day. The error I see now is:

By the sound of it you get a broken SD Card reader.

I have the 8.4AN head unit. I believe the update is mostly aimed at increasing the speed of address entry/recognition for the nav unit, which seems faster now, but there are several different modules included in the update. Be sure to download and read the instructions for installing the update, as there are several steps.

I did the update and my SD card reader works fine. It has been suggested that you lock the card before using it in the Jeep. I downloaded the pdf instructions to my kindle so I could follow them when installing the update. I haven't had any problems in almost a week now. Everything is working faster, and VR is quicker and more accurate than before the update. There are two seperate updates, one for the 8.4A, and one for the 8.4AN.
