I don't know why my opinion is so different of everyone else's but those things look horrible. Makes the car look cheap. No function? No thanks.

Just noticed there's slightly more tire clearance so there is function to them. Still look terrible though.

I'm with you. This look was done 10 years ago by Nissan and it didn't look that great then either.

Comparing the fender flares on a WK2 to a small pickup is not a fair comparison even if that "truck" is 4x4. Yet another aspect of your subjective comparison is the size of the flares on both vehicles! Nissian put huge fender flares on a small truck...of course it will look stupid!! Those belong on a full size truck. The ones on the WK2 look more proportionate than the Nissian ones.

If the wj fender flares are 500 bucks than there is no way in hell these are going to be any cheaper, much less of a market for these

Yeah those things are HUGE, what were they thinking. Same concept though. That Nissan is the first thing that came to my mind when I saw them on a wk2.

Same concept possibly but it comes down to is what looks and is practical. Nissian with those huge flares...a joke. They look great on an F150 FX4 crew cab. Smaller flares on the WK2 looks more appropriate.

Seriously? You don't see the similarity?

Bolt-on fender flares with fake exposed bolt heads.

Those don't look like the same general notion to you?

Oh, here, I also attached a quick image to you can see what I'm looking at a little more clearly.

IMHO, the only way those will look good is with spacers and AT tires. I wouldn't mind them at all, but too pricey.

You know, the more I look at it I think you guy probably have a point... it's those flares on that vehicle with those wheels. Put them on an Altitude or such with a nice set of A/T tires - something already geared up for off-road - and it probably wouldn't look all that bad.

Bingo. Fender flares arent meant for street vehicles so of course they look stupid on the white WK2 with big, chrome wheels. And the Nissian looks stupid because the flares are too big.
