Blend door problem and TIPM issue related?
So my wife went to start the Jeep this morning and it cranked for 4 seconds or so and quit. Tried a few more times, same result. The 4th or 5th go round and it started but she left it at home today and took another car to work. This evening it did the same thing but started on the 3rd try. We took it to dinner and noticed that the passenger side vents blew lukewarm to cool no matter the heat setting on the dual zone climate control.
From my research the starting issue sounds like the TIPM (Totally Integrated Power Module) that appears to be an all-too-frequent problem on this vehicle. The HVAC issue seems to be a blend door problem like older Grand Cherokees.
Today was the first time either problem ever occurred.
Could these be related or are these 2 completely separate, but very coincidental problems?
It is a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited V8 with 60,000 miles.
