Blend Door Actuator Problem?

2011 Grand Cherokee

I lost heat and AC control on the driver's side. I figured it was a broken blend door actuator cam gear because the same thing happened 2 years ago. I took the cam gear off and sure enough it was broken. I replaced that and everything worked good, hot and cold.

A week later I heard some clicking like the cam gear was turning more than it should against the blend door or the cam gear was broke again. Also the heat and AC control quit working. I'm 100% sure it was correctly alined when I put it together.

I took everything apart again and found the gear to be fine. I then figured the actuator gears were messed up inside, I opened the actuator and that was also fine.

At this point I'm I don't know why it stopped working this time, anyone have any ideas?

For some reason I keep aligning the cam gear to the blend door and it lasts about a week, then I hear clicking and it gets off alignment again.

Any thoughts?

It must be. Is it possible to see the blend door from inside the housing by running an inspection camera down the vent on the dash?

Nope, too many twists and turns.
