Anyone else think GMC borrowed HEAVILY from the Jeep design?

I saw the 2015 Acadia in a commercial and my immediate reaction was "Wow, that front end looks eerily similar to the 2014 WK2".

Even the HID headlights look very similar. The only thing that doesn't remind me of the WK2 is the generic, brick over looking grille of the Acadia.

Maybe it's just me, but that was my immediate reaction.

I copy that as well. as far as the HIDs go...almost any vehicle with this technology has this "fish-eye" bulb-design. I assume that's just how HIDs look.

I don't really see it either. Most of the cars released these days have very similar styling cues. These two are nowhere near close enough to confuse one for the other, unlike some Hondas and Kias.

I'm not talking about the fish eye bulb. I'm talking about the LED light bar. Ok fine. Maybe it's just me....

(I still stand by it!)

I do think the rear end of the GMC Terrain looks similar to the WK2. That chrome bar resembles ours....

Nope, no resemblence. It's an suv, at some point you will see similarities, and there is only so much one can do to design a vehicle before different people see different "copies" of it somewhere else.

But, I'd have to say the ford everest is a definite clone of the GC / Durango:

No, but I think VW Crossblue did (from a side view -- especially the rear half):
