AM recall

Aston Martin is recalling 75% of the vehicles they produced since 2007 or all the LHD drive vehicles they produced. Problem is a part made in China is made of counterfeit plastic. Part is a plastic accelerator arm.

Question is how many other auto makers use parts from this Chinese factory and are any of these parts counterfeit?

You would have thought AM would have made the part in the UK out of carbon fiber or Titanium at the prices they charge.

Probably just the start of a larger problem with OEM counterfeit parts being used in vehicle manufacturing.

Who Knows

I hope they have this all worked out and my V12 Zagato is okay. I keep it at my summer place in Monte Carlo.

In all seriousness Chinese parts are used in our vehicles, dishwashers, Tvs et al and if Am got scammed with counterfeit parts what about Jeep, Sony and Whirlpool??

After drinking your Luzanne ice tea you go play with the search for non paying forum members so you know it how it works and its capabilities. That way you dont piss forum members off when you blow off their posts with do a search.

Good tasting tea.

My suggestion is mind your own business. Most newbs here...do not search. They don't follow the rules we have. So it is near-habit of mine to suggest a search. Apologies if you are upset, Dave or anyone else.

How does that compare to green tea or black tea? Do you prefer it iced or hot? I quit drinking sodas a few years ago and switched to more tea and water.

Black tea is good. I don't drink green. I prefer iced of black or regular.

I drink soda too but more tea. The misses and I go through a pitcher every other day in the week and a pitcher everyday in the weekend. I'm slowly moving into hot tea.

I've broken my soda habit by drinking carbonated water. The Perrier bottles don't fit as well in my Aston though...
