All about that Bass... 19 speakers system help please

New Summit came with the 19 speaker system... probably overkill IMO as I don't notice anything significant over standard systems. That said, any recommendations for the settings. I've tinkered with the bass, mid and treble but either get too much base or too high treble. I'm not an audiophile but would like some recommendations from anyone with the same system.

I find the bass overwhelming. I found a few things that helped me. Turn off the speed sensitive volume, the algorithm is garbage. It doesn't just increase the volume, it seems to make the sound more boomy and muddled - think of the old "loud" button on old stereos.

Also I turned off any of the surround sound options. Then for my EQ I run at full neutral (Zero), except Bass at -9. Depending on the style of music I'm listening to, I'll occasionally move the bass up one or two notches max, but typically for me, -9.
