Thanks. I see it more black than green which I guess is alright since when I see the green it is like a treat. Haha.

Where in Texas are you?

edit: Can't see profile locations in phone app.

I'm a Texas ex. Moved from ATX to OKC about 5 years ago. When I'm ready to buy my own GC I'm hoping to get Maximum Steel Metallic. Looks black most of the time but when it looks charcoal/blue it's a treat too!

That's cool. That max steal is an awesome color. It's kinda rare around these parts like my green. W00t

I removed the side chrome pieces and "Laredo" from the tail gate. I will see if I like just "4x4" there. Most likely I will remove it or possible paint it. I used a Wagner heat gun, a flat head with tape on the end and elbow grease to pry the chrome off. I tried to save them but there was no getting around bending them. I then heated the adhesive and rolled it off with my thumbs mostly. Finally I used Goo Gone to remove the residue. I did the same with the "Laredo" pieces. Later on I was paranoid about left over Goo Gone so I used some window cleaner and I felt better.

I ordered some decals from PixelDecals.com: "Grand Cherokee" in matte black and factory size to go in place of the chrome door pieces and a pair of American flags (in both directions) in matte black to go on the front fenders behind the wheel well. They should be in this week. I am still on the hunt for an appropriate zombie decal. Not sure what I want but I haven't found it yet. I will also Plasti Dip the grille and tail gate chrome when I do the decals. I tested the the Plasti Dip on one of the chrome pieces and so far I am pleased with the results after 4 coats.

Wow, it looks so much better like that! Nice job. How long did that all take? Love the beer bottle in the picture too, that makes it more fun.

They are a great tire and do look better from the front/rear than from profile. Ultimately I wanted Dura Tracs but I didn't have the money at the time. Next time for sure I will have enough for them.

Yeah, looking great Jackal. Regarding the grill - anyone thought about using some of that plasti-dip? A friend of mine who owns a motorsports shop has been using it on some wheel center caps, and other motorsports accessories and it's holding up real well. I wonder how it would do on our chrome grills??

After a few hours I beat the plastic chrome with plasti dip against my granite counter top and not one ding or scratch. 4 coats and held up great. I am sure I will do a couple more coats.

I just don't like the look of it. I think if anything, the chrome pieces should be body colored paint.
