Just picked up a 75th edition last week and my steering wheel is solid. Mine has the telescopic steering wheel with the button to move it but everything feels tight and flush.
Update: The bolt that attaches the steering wheel to the steering column was half stripped from the factory. I had to leave my car at the dealer for about 5 days. They replaced the steering column and all the necessary bolts and now the steering wheel is solid.
Too bad the worker at the factory that tests the car before giving it a final green light didn't do a good job. I was told it's about $2k worth of parts. Hopefully this will benefit someone in a similar situation.
Though now the steering wheel feels slightly off center. But I'm not sure if I'm imagining that..
You will find that most newer cars have the wheel angled slightly towards the driver's door. Likely some ergonomics study, probably makes it easier to get in/out, or does something to reduce fatigue when driving. I've seen it in just about every make/model.
